The girl group BLACKPINK has set a historic record by becoming the first official artist YouTube channel in the world to surpass 100 million subscribers.
On the afternoon of the 20th, BLACKPINK exceeded 100 million global YouTube subscribers and received the 'Red Diamond Button' certifying this achievement. This is an unprecedented accomplishment in YouTube history for a single artist's official channel.
The members expressed their gratitude to fans through a YouTube video on the afternoon of the 21st.
Jennie stated, "I want to express my gratitude once again to everyone who has always shown interest in our music and loved us," adding, "I am especially happy to have achieved this record together with BLINK."
Rosé emphasized the significance of this record, saying, "This achievement is particularly meaningful, as we are the first official artist channel to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube."
Lisa expressed her thanks, saying, "I also want to thank YouTube for always supporting us and creating a space for us to connect with fans around the world," and added, "Above all, I am truly grateful to our 'BLINK' (fandom name) who have been with us every moment, watching and listening to our music, and growing with us. We couldn't have come this far without you."
BLACKPINK is set to release their third mini album 'DEADLINE' on the 27th. This new release is their first album in about 3 years and 5 months since the release of their second full album in September 2022, and fans are eagerly anticipating it.
Jisoo urged, "We have worked hard to prepare this third mini album 'DEADLINE' with great care over a long time, so we ask for your love and support," raising expectations for their comeback.
