Lee Chan-hyuk of the sibling duo AKMU has won three awards at the 23rd Korean Popular Music Awards with his solo second album 'Eros' (EROS).

The Korean Popular Music Awards Secretariat announced on the 27th that Lee Chan-hyuk was named the artist with the most awards at the ceremony, which was broadcast live through Melon and YouTube the day before, winning Song of the Year, Best Pop Album, and Best Pop Song.

The Best Pop Album award went to 'Eros', which is Lee Chan-hyuk's solo album released 2 years and 9 months after his first solo album 'Error' in October 2022. In this album, which contains various emotions faced from the death of others, Lee Chan-hyuk received praise for expressing the inner deficiencies amplified by the absence of precious beings and the attitude of accepting them in his own musical language.

The track 'Extinction Crisis Love' from the second album was nominated in both the Song of the Year and Best Pop Song categories. This song rapidly climbed the charts after its performance at the Blue Dragon Film Awards last November, creating a 'chart resurgence' phenomenon despite not being the title track.
