On the 26th, actor Park Ji-hoon, the lead in the movie 〈The King's Affection〉, which is on the verge of surpassing 7 million viewers, appeared on the tvN talk show 〈You Quiz on the Block〉. Park Ji-hoon has received much acclaim from audiences for his performance as 'Lee Hong-wi' (Danjong), generating reactions of 'the reincarnation of Danjong'.
During the broadcast, Park Ji-hoon candidly revealed his feelings about playing Danjong and the preparation process for his role. He expressed, "I still have many doubts about my acting. So I was worried if I could understand Danjong's heart," sharing the pressure he felt while portraying a real person. Nevertheless, Park Ji-hoon stated, "Since I had to depict the process of being exiled, I had to look emaciated. I wanted to look like someone who had completely lost their appetite, so I only ate one apple a day. I wanted to reflect Danjong's painful journey on my face." He also mentioned, "If Danjong appears in my dream, I would run and bow down to ask him if he has seen the movie. If he smiles brightly at me, I think I would be happier than any compliment."
The movie 〈The King's Affection〉, which premiered on February 4, is currently being screened in theaters.
