[Photo &] "The Hot Roar of July" 2026 Pentaport Kicks Off in Songdo on the 31st

The '2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival' (hereafter Pentaport) will heat up the summer in South Korea with a grand opening at Incheon Songdo Moonlight Festival Park from July 31 to August 2. It is set to showcase its status as the longest-running rock festival in the country once again.

On the 5th, the organizers announced the key theme for this year's festival as 'Movement'. This signifies a dynamic flow where music transcends the physical limits of the stage, spreading to audiences, cities, and even across Asia. It is a strategy to maximize cultural impact beyond just a music festival.

A Pentaport representative stated, "This year's event will not just be a simple viewing performance," adding, "We will significantly enhance its function as a global business platform for domestic and international musicians and music industry professionals to interact."

Hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and co-organized by Incheon Tourism Organization and Gyeonggi Ilbo, Pentaport has maintained its legacy for over 20 years since its first event in 2006, establishing a unique position in Korea, known as the 'desert of rock'. Notably, last year's '2025 Pentaport' attracted a total of 150,000 spectators over three days, marking a record-breaking success, and fans' anticipation for this year's lineup and programs is already rising.
