〈The King and the Man〉 has continued its box office success since it became a ten million viewer film on the 6th.

According to the integrated ticket sales network on the 9th, 〈The King and the Man〉 attracted over 1.725 million viewers (with a revenue share of 80.3%) over the past weekend (6-8). On Friday, around 271,000 viewers, on Saturday, 754,000 viewers, and on Sunday, 699,000 viewers attended, maintaining a revenue share of over 80% throughout the weekend.

The cumulative audience number is over 11.503 million, surpassing records such as 〈THE ROUNDUP: PUNISHMENT〉 (2024·11.502 million), 〈Haeundae〉 (2009·11.45 million), and 〈Avengers: Infinity War〉 (2018·11.21 million).

Directed by Jang Hang-jun, 〈The King and the Man〉 tells the story of King Danjong's exiled figure Lee Hong-wi (played by Park Ji-hoon) as he interacts with the village chief Eom Heung-do (played by Yoo Hae-jin) and the villagers during the last period of his life. While the major events of Danjong's dethronement, exile, and death follow historical records, the daily life in exile is filled with warmth and emotion through cinematic imagination.
