〈My Name Is〉 is headed to the Udine Far East Film Festival.
The film 〈My Name Is〉 said on April 3 that it has been invited to the competition section of the 28th Udine Far East Film Festival. 〈My Name Is〉 tells the story of Jeong-soon (Yeom Hye-ran), a mother who lost her childhood memories, and her son Young-ok (Shin Woo-bin). After its first public screening at the Berlin International Film Festival in January, it’s scheduled for a Korean release on April 15.
Following the invitation of 〈The Man Who Lives with the King〉, the Udine Far East Film Festival invited 〈My Name Is〉, once again spotlighting global filmmakers’ interest in Korean cinema. Held in Udine, a northern Italian city, from April 24 to May 2, the festival said, "With a balanced tone grounded in real incidents, audiences around the world will be able to relate to it comfortably and enjoy it."
Set to be released on April 15, 〈My Name Is〉 is the new film by director Jeong Ji-young, who previously directed 〈The Southern Partisan〉, 〈Broken Arrow〉, and 〈Black Money〉, among others.
