Park Ji-hoon, who delivered a standout performance as Danjong in 〈The Man Who Lives with the King〉, will star in the Tving original drama 〈The Legend of Kitchen Soldier〉, set to premiere on May 11.
On the 21st, Tving released the main poster for the new original series 〈The Legend of Kitchen Soldier〉 and announced broadcast details. Based on the popular Naver Webtoon of the same name (story/art by J Robin / Lee Jin-su), the series is a military cooking fantasy that follows Private Kang Seong-jae (Park Ji-hoon), who swaps his rifle for a kitchen knife and becomes a 'legendary kitchen soldier.'
The released 'Gangrim Outpost' poster features main cast members including Park Ji-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, Han Dong-hee, Lee Hong-nae, and a special appearance by Lee Sang-yi. Park Ji-hoon portrays Private Kang Seong-jae, resolute and preparing for kitchen combat while wearing rubber gloves.
The supporting cast lineup was also revealed. Yoon Kyung-ho plays administrative supply NCO Sergeant Park Jae-young, exuding the calm of a veteran; Han Dong-hee plays Lieutenant Jo Ye-rin, the commander of Gangrim Outpost who is responsible for the outpost's meals; Lee Hong-nae appears as Sergeant Yoon Dong-hyun, who possesses a monstrous physique; and Lee Sang-yi makes a special appearance as the aloof Captain Hwang Seok-ho, adding to the drama's appeal.
The poster's background positions visual elements such as flying vegetables and trays to emphasize the show's concept of "a battle unfolding over the kitchen." Production is handled by Studio Dragon and Studio N, written by Choi Ryong and directed by Jo Nam-hyung.
The Tving original 〈The Legend of Kitchen Soldier〉 will be released simultaneously domestically and internationally on Monday, May 11 at 8:50 PM via Tving and tvN.
