NMIXX Releases MV Teaser for “Crescendo,” the 1st Track on Their 5th Mini Album

NMIXX caught fans’ attention once again by releasing a music video teaser.

Contrasting mysterious visuals with the sound On the 27th, the group NMIXX released the music video teaser for “Crescendo,” the 1st track of their 5th mini album, “Heavy Serenade,” via their official SNS channel. In the released video, a colorless space that looks as if it has been flipped upside down transitions to a foggy field background, creating a mysterious atmosphere. It depicts the members’ movements as Seoryun blows into the tightly held fist and then strikes something connected to Gyujin’s hair, producing a crack and light. “Crescendo,” the 1st track, is a song characterized by the contrast between a soft melody and intense synth and drum sounds. Lily directly participated in the lyric-writing, and unfolded the growing, overflowing feelings in the lyrics by drawing on a music term meaning “even more strongly” (“점점 세게”). The full version of the music video will be released first on the 28th at 6:00 PM, ahead of the album’s official release.

Members’ lyric contributions and a total of 6 tracks The title track of the 5th mini album, released officially on May 11 at 6:00 PM, is “Heavy Serenade,” which shares its name with the album. Singer-songwriter Hanloro is credited with writing the lyrics. This new release includes a total of six tracks: “Crescendo,” which Lily wrote the lyrics for, “LOUD,” and “Different Girl,” which Bae is credited for with lyric writing. It also features “Superior” and “IDESERVEIT,” which were first revealed during the eve of a recent e-sports festival, among others. From the debut track “O.O,” NMIXX has been showcasing “mixpop,” combining two or more genres, and in this album as well, the members’ direct participation in lyric-writing further clarified the group’s overall musical identity.
