〈Notes from the Last Row〉, which drew attention for the pairing of Choi Min-sik and Choi Hyun-wook, has confirmed its release date and unveiled its trailer.
The Netflix original series 〈Notes from the Last Row〉 follows the events that unfold when Heo Moon-oh (Choi Min-sik), a professor of Korean literature who previously published only one novel, discovers the genius of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun-wook), a student sitting at the very back row in the classroom. On May 29, Netflix announced that 〈Notes from the Last Row〉 will be released on June 29, and released a teaser poster and a trailer.
The teaser poster captures Heo Moon-oh’s wide-eyed look as if stunned, along with Lee Kang’s provocative expression as he stares back, heightening the tension. In the teaser trailer, scenes of Heo Moon-oh becoming fully engrossed in Lee Kang’s story after discovering his genius alternate with moments that suggest he has found a new secret within Lee Kang’s work, raising curiosity about the two men’s relationship. The acting ensemble of Choi Min-sik and Choi Hyun-wook also further stokes interest in 〈Notes from the Last Row〉.
Director Kim Gyu-tae’s latest work, 〈Notes from the Last Row〉, has been praised for its outstanding direction that finely and rigorously unpacks the psychology of people in all sorts of human situations, including the Netflix series 〈Trunk〉 and the dramas 〈Our Blues〉 and 〈It’s Okay, That’s Love〉. The series is set to be available on Netflix on June 29.
