Takuya Kimura confirms first Korea concert after debut—set for September at Incheon Inspire Arena

Japanese singer and actor Takuya Kimura will hold his first Korea concert after his debut.

New album release and first solo Asia tour According to Japanese local media and his agency on the 29th, Takuya Kimura will release his first studio album of the summer, ‘Checkpoint‘, and set out on an overseas tour under the title ‘TAKUYA KIMURA Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint’. The tour will begin with two shows in September—Sept. 5 and 6 in Hyogo Prefecture (Kobe), Japan—before heading to Korea on Sept. 26 (Incheon Inspire Arena), then to Fukuoka on Oct. 7, Taipei on Nov. 13–14, and Chiba on Nov. 21. The run includes 9 performances across five cities in total.

Return to an overseas stage in about 15 years and the meaning of “Checkpoint” This marks the first time Takuya Kimura has taken the stage overseas as a solo singer, and the first overseas show in about 15 years since he appeared on the China, Beijing stage in 2011 as a member of the group SMAP. ‘Checkpoint’, the tour title and his new release, is his first original album after he moved to the private label ‘C&C STAGE’, under Avex. With multiple special guests joining the record, the album carries the meaning of a milestone as he asks himself where he stands now and moves on to the next step.
