Choo Young-woo wraps Seoul fan meeting, heads to Japan in July

Actor Choo Young-woo met fans at two solo fan meetings in Seoul on June 27, his agency J-Wide Company said. The event, titled "2026 CHOO YOUNG WOO FANMEETING [CHOO-prise!] in SEOUL," took place at Daeyang Hall at Sejong University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The event’s title combined "CHOO"—from Choo Young-woo’s name—and "Surprise." He opened the show with a live-band performance of Roy Kim’s "To You," drawing eager anticipation. He said he chose a live band set as a surprise gift after considering what fans would enjoy most, expressing his affection for his official fandom, HuChu. He then continued the talk segment by sharing updates on his current and upcoming projects, including ENA’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Love Doctor and the Netflix original series Long Vacation.

The event featured a variety of segments designed for close interaction with fans. In the "Choo-prise Unboxing" segment, Choo introduced elements of his real daily routine and personally visited the first- and second-floor seating sections to greet audience members. The program also included participatory events responding to fan requests, and at the second performance he ran an event where he decorated a cake himself. He also used a live open chat to interact with fans, even helping choose a name for the official lightstick.

He also delivered several cover performances that showcased his musical side. Choo selected Lee Juck’s "Lies, Lies, Lies" and "Shall We Walk Together," Byun Jin-sub’s "To the Lady," and Lee Su-hyun’s "A Letter of Love," showcasing his sweet vocals. After the show, Choo thanked the audience for coming despite his recent focus on filming, saying he had not been able to meet fans often because of filming and pledging to do his best to be remembered as both a good actor and a good person.

After the Seoul fan meeting, Choo will head to LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo on July 20 to hold "2026 CHOO YOUNG WOO FANMEETING [CHOO-prise!] in JAPAN," continuing his global fan meeting tour.
