This summer, the movie 〈Hope〉, set to deliver the most cinematic experience at theaters, is continuing its momentum after its advance ticket sales rate broke through 50%. After ticket sales opened, 〈Hope〉 moved to No. 1 at the fastest pace of the year, locking in its lead with overwhelming figures. It has beaten every current title in theaters, as well as all new releases scheduled to open. The movie is already widening a gap of more than double compared with 〈Moana〉, which holds the second-highest pre-sales rate. Reaching a remarkable 50% pre-sales rate with seven days to go until release, 〈Hope〉 is showing an even fiercer upward trend as time passes, rapidly expanding its share of ticket reservations, and attention is focused on what happens next.

Invited to compete at the 79th Cannes Film Festival and making its debut, 〈Hope〉 drew hot praise from major overseas media outlets. “There’s no doubt that director Nah Hong-jin is the kind of figure who knows what it takes to make this kind of film.” (Deadline), “It combines a breathless, overpowering scale with a sense of fun, and perfectly matches the decade-long wait.” (Screen Rant), “From the moment the first sequence begins, it’s a remarkable, maniacal burst of adrenaline that charges forward without hesitation.” (Next Best Picture), “The best state of action cinema can reach” (TheWrap), “100% unrelenting, frictionless blockbuster adrenaline” (The New Yorker), among others. 〈Hope〉 is also available in specialized theaters including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, Dolby Atmos, SCREENX, and 4DX, and will bring strong new energy to the summer box office.

Set for release across a variety of formats, including Dolby Cinema, IMAX, SCREENX, and 4DX, 〈Hope〉 is expected to deliver an overwhelming cinematic experience, blending an original mise-en-scène, bold action sequences, music that adds depth to the work, and a fast-moving storyline. This level of completion is the result of top staff members in every production field—shooting, art, music, and action—who repeatedly poured intense thought and effort into the project. In particular, special-viewing theaters will let audiences experience the film’s delicate sound, overpowering visuals, and tension-filled action in even greater density. Along with this, the four special-viewing poster releases capture 〈Hope〉’s unique attractions and cinematic tension in overpowering visuals that reflect each format’s characteristics, raising expectations.

〈Hope〉 tells the story of “Beom-seok,” an office manager at a liaison office located in the Demilitarized Zone. He hears from local residents that a tiger has appeared in the neighborhood, and the plot begins as the entire village is thrown into emergency mode and faces an unbelievable reality. As if to prove the anticipation for the film, immediately after ticket sales opened, 〈Hope〉 claimed the No. 1 spot for overwhelming reservations at the fastest pace of the year. The movie opens in theaters on July 15.
