The evolution of motorsports: An overwhelming spectacle that lights up the circuit on a midsummer night

The '2026 Hyundai N Festival' Round 3 of Korea’s largest-scale one-make race, expanding the horizons of South Korean motorsports, kicks off at Inje Speedium in Gangwon Province with an imposing scale. Beyond a simple battle for speed, it presents a new dimension of motorsports shaped by the fusion of culture and entertainment.

Taking forward the heritage of the 'Click Speed Festival' in 2003, this competition breaks the bold assumption that motorsport is only for racing enthusiasts. It has evolved into a unique 'integrated cultural festival' that brings together live performances by top-tier artists, fireworks that light up the night sky, and hands-on content spanning all generations.

On opening day, the 11th, the circuit’s night runs hotter than the day. Led by the 'night race' that spikes adrenaline, Dynamic Duo, ONF, and RESCENE—top-tier artists—take the stage to cap off the festival. The 'drift show run' that skims across the asphalt with a roar, along with dazzling fireworks, is expected to overwhelm visitors’ attention and hearing at the same time.

Details aimed at families stand out as well. Along with 'gridwalk', 'N Taxi', and 'Circuit Safari', which let visitors experience the thrill of the circuit firsthand, there is also a 'Kids Driving Experience' for aspiring future racers. In addition, a variety of kid-focused content—face painting, bubble car washing, and a slime zone—are arranged, making it feel like a massive 'motorsports theme park'.

On the following day, the 12th, a 'endurance race' with total prize money of 43 million won takes place, setting a stage for drivers to test the limits. Event races requiring extreme vehicle control—such as 'N Gymkhana' and 'N Drift'—follow without a break, delivering the motorsport’s true sense of exhilaration.

All of these spectacles are offered as 'free admission'. To maximize accessibility for visitors, on the 11th the event will operate the 'free shuttle bus' running between Chuncheon City’s Namchuncheon Station (in front of the Korea Teachers Credit Union) and Inje Speedium. The Inje-bound buses depart at every hour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Namchuncheon-bound buses depart at every hour from 1 p.m. to midnight, fully ensuring convenience in getting around.

Lee Myung-gyu, director of tourism for Inje County, said, "This event is a high-end festival that both professional racing fans and visitors who come with families can enjoy without any barriers," adding, "I hope you can savor the inimitable exhilaration of a midsummer night at Inje Speedium."
