Kim Kardashian (Kim Kardashian·45) has added a retro SUV with timeless style to her garage, which is already packed with luxury supercars. The purchase is drawing even more attention because it focuses less on sheer acceleration and more on analog nostalgia and the appeal of the outdoors.
■ Recommended by her brother-in-law Travis Barker, picked up and shipped immediately… “Sentimental retro car” worth about 400 million won
According to reports by TMZ and other outlets on the 15th (local time), Kardashian recently bought a custom-built 1973 Ford Bronco from the classic-car customization brand Velocity Restorations in Florida for about $285,000 (about 400 million won in Korean currency).
Kardashian was said to have chosen the vehicle while looking for an off-road car her family could comfortably drive at her top-tier summer hideaway in Korddellin, Idaho, United States. The deal was made possible by the enthusiastic recommendation of her brother-in-law, Travis Barker, a legendary drummer. Barker is also a long-time regular customer of the brand, and thanks to his introduction, Kardashian was able to secure a special model that was already finished and eligible for immediate pickup—skipping the strict custom-production waiting period of typically 14 weeks to more than 16 weeks. The Bronco, delivered to her after being handed over in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, has now completed safe shipping to her mountainous hideaway in Idaho.
■ A 460-horsepower beast hidden beneath an analog exterior… “Surprise open-air” specs
Kardashian’s Bronco looks like a quintessential vintage SUV from the 1970s, but inside it has been completely reworked with cutting-edge technology in a true “Restomod” style—restored on the outside, modernized on the inside.
The exterior is finished in a forest green color that evokes the feel of deep woods. Inside, it pairs ranger brown seat upholstery, ProCar high-back bucket seats, a classic wooden steering wheel, and a vintage-style air-conditioning system. In particular, it has removed the carpeting from the interior floor to make it easy to clean even if sand or dirt gets on during outdoor activities. The design covers only the area above the driver’s seat with a roof, while the rear seats are fully open, creating a cool open-air setup that offers an appeal optimized for drives along the lakeshore.
The twist is hidden under the hood. Instead of an original frame, it is built on Velocity’s proprietary frame and fitted with Ford Performance’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, delivering an impressive 460 horsepower. Matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission, it produces smooth, commanding performance on both rough off-road trails and highways. Considering that typical Velocity 1973 Bronco custom models sell in the mid–$270,000 range, Kardashian’s vehicle belongs to the top-tier lineup with a large number of additional options and custom specifications.

■ “Summer in Idaho” with her new boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton, and the kids
With the arrival of the new dream car, Kim Kardashian is enjoying the hottest summer getaway yet at her Idaho lakeside retreat.
Recently, she posted photos on her Instagram showing a green Bronco parked with blue nature and a lake in the background, sharing a peaceful update on her current status. This vacation drew attention because her four children (North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm) were joined not only by her new boyfriend—F1’s living legend Lewis Hamilton (Lewis Hamilton·41), who has been maintaining a steady relationship with her since earlier this year and recently made their romance official through “Lovegram.”
