Global pop icon “BTS”’s mega hit “Fake Love” (FAKE LOVE) music video has topped 1.4 billion views on YouTube, writing new K-pop history once again.

According to the agency “BigHit Music,” the video crossed the 1.4 billion-view mark around 3:46 p.m. on the 13th. It is the group’s sixth such all-time record, following “Dynamite,” “Boy With Luv,” “DNA,” “MIC Drop,” and “IDOL.”

Released to the world in May 2018, “Fake Love” is an emo hip-hop track where gritty rock guitar sounds and heavy trap beats intersect. The song lays out the despair of facing the illusion of love the group once believed was fate, drawing in both music critics and the general public worldwide with BTS’s signature deep emotional pull and bleak aesthetics.
