Six stars with both star power and acting chops bring candid perspectives on their craft to Busan
Asia's largest film festival, the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), will welcome audiences this year with an even more star-studded lineup. The Busan International Film Festival Secretariat announced on the 27th that six of South Korea's leading actors — Kim Go-eun, Kim Min-ha, Ryu Seung-ryong, Shin Min-a, Lee Min-ho and Ju Ji-hoon — have been officially invited to Actors House, a key program of the festival's 31st edition, which opens Oct. 6.
First introduced in 2021, Actors House is a special talk show where actors who have demonstrated both solid acting skills and overwhelming star power look back on their filmographies and share their deeply considered philosophies of acting, along with behind-the-scenes stories from the set. The program quickly won an enthusiastic response from film fans and became the festival's most popular attraction.
This year, the program has significantly expanded its lineup from four participants last year to six of the industry's top actors. Their candid stories, shaped by work across global streaming platforms and the big screen, are expected to be one of the festival's biggest highlights.
Any festivalgoer can attend the program by reserving a ticket. Details on the schedule and booking process will be announced in stages on the official Busan International Film Festival website (www.biff.kr).
