Busan International Film Festival Unveils Special Meeting Program with 6 'Scene Stealer' Actors

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), set to open next month, has announced a special meeting with 'scene stealer' actors representing the Korean film industry.

The BIFF Secretariat announced on the 21st that it will present the program 'Very Calm Scene Stealers: The People Who Stole the Scene' featuring 6 participating actors. This program will be conducted in a format where the participating actors share their honest stories about their works and acting with the audience.

The confirmed participating actors include Hyun Bong-sik, Kim Jae-hwa, Lee Joon-hyuk, Yoon Kyung-ho, Baek Joo-hee, and Lee Sang-hee. All of them have been recognized for their unique presence and acting skills in the Korean film industry.

Hyun Bong-sik has left a deep impression on audiences by showcasing intense characters in various genres such as 〈The Match〉, 〈LOBBY〉, and 〈The Old Woman With The Knife〉. Kim Jae-hwa won the Best Actress award at the 2024 Korean Film Critics Association Awards for her role in 〈Blesser〉.

Lee Joon-hyuk, who has built a diverse acting spectrum through works like 〈Rebound〉 and 〈Hitman 2〉, will also participate. Yoon Kyung-ho is an actor who has gained attention for both critical acclaim and box office success in works such as 〈The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call〉 and 〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉.

Baek Joo-hee, who has freely transitioned between stage and screen, has left a strong impression on audiences with works like 〈Extracurricular〉 and 〈Your Honor〉. Lee Sang-hee proved her acting skills by winning both the Best Supporting Actress award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards in the film category for her role in 〈My Name is Loh Kiwan〉.
