Naoko Ogigami's 'Circle' Invited to the 27th Seoul International Women's Film Festival!

Naoko Ogigami, a prominent director from Japan, has her new film 〈Circle〉 invited to the 27th Seoul International Women's Film Festival in the 'New Wave' section, and has unveiled 8 captivating press stills. The film 〈Circle〉 tells the story of Sawada, who, having lost her job and unable to establish herself as an artist, gains worldwide fame from a single circle she accidentally draws.

The released press stills provide a glimpse into the life-changing experience of the unknown artist Sawada (Tsuyoshi Domoto) as she encounters a circle drawing. Living aimlessly while commuting between home and work, Sawada shows her frustration when she hears from her atelier colleague Yajima (Riho Yoshioka) and is taken advantage of by her neighbor Yokoyama (Go Ayano), illustrating her lack of clear goals. After accidentally drawing a circle while following an ant crawling on the floor, she becomes famous overnight, becoming confused among those who want to use her and her followers, gradually being consumed by the circle. The stills, featuring Sawada constantly drawing circles, spark curiosity, while also showcasing renowned Japanese actors such as Go Ayano, Riho Yoshioka, and Win Morisaki, heightening expectations.

Meanwhile, 〈Circle〉 is officially invited to the 'New Wave' section of the 27th Seoul International Women's Film Festival, which opens today on 8/21 (Thursday), and will make its first appearance to the audience. The film is scheduled to be screened twice, on 8/23 (Saturday) at 10:40 AM at Megabox Sinchon Hall 6, and on 8/26 (Tuesday) at 4 PM at Megabox Sinchon Hall 3.
