Actors Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin shared their feelings about their first acting collaboration.
On the morning of August 19, a production report meeting for the movie 〈No Other Choice〉 was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. The event was attended by director Park Chan-wook, Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won, who shared stories about the film.
〈No Other Choice〉 is a film that tells the story of an office worker named 'Mansu' (Lee Byung-hun), who feels that he has achieved everything in life, but suddenly gets fired. To protect his wife 'Miri' and their two children, and to keep the house he worked hard to acquire, he prepares for his own war towards re-employment. Actor Son Ye-jin reflected on her chemistry with Lee Byung-hun, saying, "The chemistry on set was so good that it felt like the scenes ended too quickly, making me feel sad that it was over." Lee Byung-hun also shared, "I felt the same way. I had only seen Ye-jin's works before, and this was the first time we collaborated. She performed with such detail, even more than I had imagined for 'Miri.'"
The new film 〈No Other Choice〉 by director Park Chan-wook, featuring a meeting of trusted actors, dramatic developments, beautiful mise-en-scène, solid direction, and added black comedy, is set to be released in South Korea this September.
