Director Park Chan-wook's New Film 'No Other Choice' Trailer Released

Depicts a company employee's 'rival eliminator' facing reemployment after sudden dismissal

Director Park Chan-wook's new film 〈No Other Choice〉 has made its first appearance.

〈No Other Choice〉 is the new work of director Park Chan-wook, who directed 〈Decision to Leave〉, and has garnered expectations since its announcement due to its glamorous cast. Starring Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won, this film is based on Donald E. Westlake's novel 「The Ax」 and tells the story of a suddenly dismissed company employee. The original story deals with a dismissed employee preparing for reemployment who gathers job seekers through fake advertisements to eliminate his competitors.

The trailer released this time begins with Lee Byung-hun's character Yoo Man-soo saying, "You’re a dead man," hinting at a progression towards increasingly intense situations. Scenes depicting firearms and axes, as well as crime scenes, allow us to vaguely imagine the process of Man-soo 'eliminating' his employment competitors. Not only Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin, who lead the story, but also Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won leave a momentary presence, raising expectations for the ensemble.

〈No Other Choice〉 will be released this September.
