Hwang Jung-min Returns to the Musical Stage, Hwang Jung-min, Jung Sung-hwa, and Jung Sang-hoon in 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Musical

Actor Hwang Jung-min returns to the stage as a 'cross-dressing dad'.

The musical 'Mrs. Doubtfire' is based on the film of the same name, depicting the story of a father, Daniel, who, unable to take responsibility for his family, divorces and disguises himself as a housekeeper 'Mrs. Doubtfire' to meet his children. The 1993 film featured Robin Williams in a delightful performance as Daniel, earning much love. The film was adapted into a musical on Broadway in 2019, and in Korea, the original production was completed in 2022 with Jung Sung-hwa, Lim Chang-jung, and Yang Jun-mo playing the role of Daniel.

The 2025 'Mrs. Doubtfire', opening at the end of September, sees Jung Sung-hwa returning to the role of Daniel, joined by Hwang Jung-min and Jung Sang-hoon. Notably, Hwang Jung-min has consistently appeared on theater stages recently, but this marks his return to musicals after 10 years, drawing attention. Daniel's ex-wife, Miranda, will be played by Park Hye-na and Lin Ah.

The original production of 'Mrs. Doubtfire' in 2022 made audiences laugh with its smooth localization and over 20 quick changes, and it is set to meet audiences at Charlotte Theater from September 27 to December 7.
