Stray Kids captivates 170,000 at Tokyo National Stadium with 'RUN IT' solo concert

The group 'Stray Kids' has written a new chapter in K-pop history in the heart of Tokyo. According to its agency, 'JYP Entertainment', the group successfully wrapped up the Japan leg of its new world tour, 'RUN IT', with performances at MUFG STADIUM in Tokyo National Stadium on the 29th and 30th of last month, drawing a combined crowd of 140,000.

Stray Kids reaches new heights in Japan with historic first for an overseas male artist

Stray Kids is the first overseas male artist to hold a solo concert at the venue, Japan's most prestigious and largest stadium. The tour's impact has been overwhelming. The 'RUN IT' tour sold out all seven shows across four of Japan's major cities, spanning Tokyo National Stadium, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Kyocera Dome Osaka and Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka.

The group sent the crowd into a frenzy with a succession of megahits that define its identity, including 'Hall of Fame', 'Hellevator', 'Side Effects', 'MANIAC', 'God's Menu', 'Thunderous' and 'This & That', along with performances of new songs. Including viewers who connected to the paid livestream on the 30th, an estimated 175,000 people took part in the Tokyo concerts.

The members said they were deeply moved, saying, "It was undoubtedly a day that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We are deeply grateful to and love our fans for creating a breathtaking sight so incredible that we had to question our eyes."

Stray Kids officially announced the Nov. 25 release of its fourth Japanese mini album, 'SUIATSU', declaring, "We are confident in our next album as well. We will continue to present the best work possible to satisfy the public." The group also surprised fans by announcing three additional Tokyo Dome shows from Nov. 6 to 8, drawing cheers from its supporters. With those dates, Stray Kids will demonstrate its formidable ticket-selling power by performing for a total of 520,000 fans over the course of this Japan tour alone.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids recently achieved its ninth consecutive No. 1 on the main U.S. Billboard albums chart, 'Billboard 200,' with its latest mini album, 'This & That.' The feat gives the group the unprecedented distinction of holding the most No. 1 albums on the 'Billboard 200' by any group in the 21st century, underscoring its firm position in the global pop market.
