Park Ye-ni, Lim Seong-gyun, Kim Yo-han and Yun Sang-jeong deliver both relatable workplace realities and lively laughs in the film 〈The Intern〉. 〈The Intern〉 follows an office life that transcends both generations and corporate ranks, beginning when Gi-ho (Choi Min-sik), a silver intern with 37 years of experience, joins the company of Seon-woo (Han So-hee), who has rapidly emerged as a dark horse in the fashion industry just three years after its launch.

Park Ye-ni and Lim Seong-gyun take charge of the MD team’s day-to-day operations at Wututu. Park Ye-ni, who has portrayed a wide range of characters with consistently strong performances in 〈Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness〉, 〈100 Memories〉 and 〈The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call〉, transforms into Yu-jin, an intensely driven MD. Practical and determined, she always gets the job done and proves herself a dependable senior colleague by guiding new hires through office life. Lim Seong-gyun, who has steadily built his filmography through projects including 〈Climax〉, 〈The Good Man〉 and 〈Yadang〉, plays Jun-hyeong, an MD team leader who is a master of workplace maneuvering. He adds humor by quickly changing his approach depending on the situation and quietly looking for shortcuts, while showcasing a realistic senior-junior dynamic with his younger colleague Yu-jin. 

Kim Yo-han and Yun Sang-jeong are also among the film’s highlights as they form a peer dynamic with Gi-ho that transcends age. Kim Yo-han, who made his mark with the series 〈You Are the Apple of My Eye〉, 〈A Killer Paradox〉 and 〈New Recruit〉, plays Ju-seong, an intern with exceptional people skills. He casually strikes up a conversation with Gi-ho, who joins the company on the same day, and thoughtfully helps him adjust to the unfamiliar corporate culture and digital devices, creating a warm peer relationship. Yun Sang-jeong, who has brought bright, distinctive characters to 〈Study Group〉, 〈Pro Bono〉 and 〈Business Proposal〉, plays Yun-hee, a candid and vivacious intern. Open and direct, she asks whatever she wants to know without hesitation, completing a cheerful three-intern dynamic that transcends generations alongside Gi-ho and Ju-seong.

Park Ye-ni, Lim Seong-gyun, Kim Yo-han and Yun Sang-jeong vividly portray moments nearly every office worker has experienced, creating an immediate sense of connection.
