Responding to Devastation at Flood Sites With Action-Oriented Giving

Singer Lee Young-ji has once again set an example of social responsibility by donating 50 million won to flood recovery efforts in southern regions, including Geoje, South Gyeongsang province, which suffered extensive damage from recent torrential rains. Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association officially announced the donation on the 5th.

The donation will be used in full to quickly restore infrastructure in devastated areas and help flood victims fully return to their everyday lives.

“Seeing the horrific damage on the news, I felt the despair at the scene very deeply,” Lee said. “I sincerely hope this can be even a small help in the recovery effort. I will put my whole heart into supporting the victims so that the affected areas can return to normal as soon as possible.”

This is not the first time she has used her positive influence to help others. She began with a 20 million won donation in 2022, followed by 10 million won in 2023 to support children at risk of missing meals and a generous 100 million won donation that summer for flood recovery. Including this latest contribution, her total donations to Hope Bridge have reached 180 million won.
