Kim Jun-han lent his voice so the sincerity of 〈Number One〉 could reach more people.
The non-profit organization the Barrier-Free Film Commission held a voice-over recording session at the Seoul Economic Development Institute’s Media Content Center in Seoul last June for the production of a barrier-free version of 〈Number One〉, directed by Director Kim Tae-yong and narrated by actor Kim Jun-han. Director Kim Tae-yong’s new film 〈Number One〉 is a work released in February, telling the story of a son, Ha-min, played by Woo-sik Choi, who begins to see the number above his mother Eun-sil, played by Hye-jin Jang.
Kim Jun-han, who has appeared in a range of works such as the drama 〈Hospital Playlist〉, 〈How to Become a Building Owner in the Republic of Korea〉, and the film 〈Salmokji〉, participated in barrier-free voice-over narration for the first time through 〈Number One〉. He said, “I sincerely thank you for inviting me to take part in a meaningful project that shares warm-hearted feelings. I hope the warmth contained in the work 〈Number One〉 can be delivered fully to the people who listen.” Director Kim Tae-yong also shared his thoughts, saying this was his first time directing a barrier-free version and that, “While working on the barrier-free recording for voice-over, it was a precious time to reflect on what emotions and messages I wanted to convey by directly writing and making 〈Number One〉.”
The barrier-free version of 〈Number One〉, with production support from HD Hyundai Oilbank and the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation and with post-production support from the Seoul Economic Development Institute’s Media Content Center, will be available for community screenings and booking requests starting in late August.
