EXO's Chanyeol unveils 'Tabi' after a year, sets Japan abuzz with modern rock

Broader musical range, a second flight toward Japan

Chanyeol, a member of EXO, is setting his sights on Japan once again. According to SM Entertainment, Chanyeol will release his second mini album `'Tabi'` in Japan on the 2nd. The solo project arrives exactly one year after his first mini album `'Hibi'`, released in October last year, drawing attention from fans around the world.

The new album's title track, `'Song For You'`, is a modern rock song distinguished by the powerful sweep of electric guitar. Its lyrics convey sincere feelings for a loved one, while Chanyeol's signature weighty yet emotionally resonant vocals further elevate the song. The musical experiment, which adds a rock spirit beyond straightforward idol pop, demonstrates his growth as an artist.

A large-scale local tour will also get underway with the album's release. Chanyeol will launch his Japanese live tour `'The Route'` with a performance in Kanagawa on the 14th. He is expected to further cement his position as a solo artist by connecting with local audiences through explosive live stages and commanding performances.
