EXO Lay Not Attending Fan Meeting Due to Unavoidable Circumstances

Group EXO member Lay did not attend the EXO fan meeting held on the 14th.

The agency SM Entertainment announced through the fan community Weverse on the day, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, Lay was unable to attend the fan meeting," and added, "We apologize for the sudden notice of the change in participating members."

Lay was scheduled to appear at the EXO fan meeting 'EXO'verse' held at Incheon Inspire Arena that day but was suddenly notified of his absence. As a result, only five members, Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun, took the stage at the fan meeting.

This fan meeting was noted as a significant event as EXO resumes team activities after about 2 years since 2023. EXO entered a hiatus as members enlisted one after another starting in 2019, and all members have completed their military service as of last September.

The agency stated that they plan to start full-fledged team activities ahead of the release of a regular album in Q1 next year.
