'Sisters,' who once shook the world, are returning as 〈Korean Black Eyes〉.

The documentary 〈Korean Black Eyes〉 will hit theaters in November 2026. It follows the musical journey of the all-female band 'Korean Black Eyes,' which began performing in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam and Thailand, in the 1960s and 1970s before taking its act to the Middle East, including Lebanon, Africa, including Egypt and Nigeria, and Europe, including Spain and Sweden. The film focuses in particular on the band's leader, Kitty Im Jun-im.

The poster captures 'Korean Black Eyes' as the band appeared during its active years. Formed in Bangkok in 1971 and expanding into Northern Europe in 1975, the band's decade-long journey as musical nomads who traveled the world raises questions about their remarkable story.

Director Kim Dae-hyun's documentary 〈Korean Black Eyes〉 will open in South Korean theaters in early November 2026. Anticipation is building as Kitty Im Jun-im, the film's central figure, has announced plans to visit South Korea.
