TVING’s ‘The Great Escape: Urban Legends’ Premieres Dec. 2, With Seungkwan Completing a Six-Member Cast

‘The Great Escape,’ synonymous with escape-room variety shows, expands its world with eerie urban legends

TVING original variety show ‘The Great Escape: Urban Legends’ will make its debut on Dec. 2. TVING has confirmed the launch of ‘The Great Escape: Urban Legends,’ a reality mystery variety show that follows cast members as they try to escape after becoming trapped in bizarre tales. The new season of the ‘The Great Escape’ series, which became a huge hit with its escape-room game concept, promises a more intricately crafted story and a breathtaking scale.

First introduced on tvN in 2018, ‘The Great Escape’ built a devoted fan base over four seasons through 2021. Last year, it moved to TVING and continued under the title ‘The Great Escape: The Story.’ This new season is expected to further cement its position as an original production.

The season is generating anticipation by adding fresh blood to the strong chemistry among the original members. The veteran duo of Kim Jong-min and Shindong is joined once again by Kim Dong-hyun, Yoo Byung-jae and Go Kyung-pyo. Seungkwan of global group SEVENTEEN joins the cast for the first time, completing a six-member lineup. Directors Lee Woo-hyung and Yang Seul-gi, recognized for their distinctive production skills, will helm the show and present more sophisticated tricks and an immersive world.
