〈Wi-Fi Love in the Palace〉 Main Trailer

The film 〈Wi-Fi Love in the Palace〉 (original English title: Wi-Fi Love in the Palace; directed by Sa Seok-choon) unveiled its main trailer for the first time on the 3rd, showcasing an imaginative premise that spans 200 years and an exciting love triangle.

〈Wi-Fi Love in the Palace〉 is a time-spanning romantic comedy about a modern webtoon artist who has never been in a relationship and ends up coaching a court lady from 200 years ago in Joseon who dreams of becoming a royal concubine. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Jo A and Ginyu, published by Jaedam Media and rated 9.8 on KakaoPage, the film goes beyond a simple time-slip story, putting front and center the fresh premise of real-time Wi-Fi and communication between Joseon and the present day.

The newly released main trailer begins when a smartphone travels through a mother-of-pearl-inlaid cabinet in a room to a Joseon palace 200 years ago. Court lady Sohyang (Lee Luda), who finds the smartphone inside the cabinet, connects with Taepung (Younghoon), a webtoon artist in 2026, through video calls and messages, leading to comic moments. Looking for material for his next work, Taepung gives Sohyang, who dreams of becoming a royal concubine, bold lessons in modern makeup and the art of playing hard to get. The trailer also teases the curiosity of viewers with scenes of King Hwi (Kim Dong-jun) of Joseon, who is both bewildered by Sohyang's dramatic transformation and gradually captivated by her. The thrilling love triangle between Taepung, coaching her from beyond the screen, and Hwi, stirring Sohyang's heart, adds to the tension.

Director Jang Tae-yoo, whose credits include the dramas 〈Deep Rooted Tree〉, 〈My Love from the Star〉 and 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉, joins the project as creator. Production companies TakeOne Studio, Filmgrida and SkyPlus joined forces to raise the film's quality. Younghoon stars as Taepung, a modern-day webtoon artist; Lee Luda plays the quirky, lively court lady Sohyang; and Kim Dong-jun takes on the role of the charismatic King Hwi, delivering a lively on-screen chemistry.

Bringing cheerful laughs and fresh romance to theaters at year's end, the fantasy romantic comedy 〈Wi-Fi Love in the Palace〉 opens exclusively at CGV on December 2.
