Rising actor Lee Sun is making her mark with viewers through her assured performance and distinctive presence in tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama 〈100 Days of Deception〉 (directed by Yoo In-sik and Kim Yoon-jin; written by Ryu Bo-ri).
In her first TV drama, Lee plays Lee Young-bok, a member of the anti-Japanese group Gukgukdan and secretary to Joil Textile president Kim Seung-eok (Lee Ki-young). Lee Young-bok is a woman of few words who rarely reveals what she is thinking, but carries deep convictions and a warm heart. Lee captured viewers’ attention with a nuanced portrayal, from her dependable dedication to her duties as a member of Gukgukdan to the unexpected tenderness she shows around Kim Myung-nam (Park Jung-yeon).
In particular, Lee adds depth to the drama’s story with a tender gaze as she reads the words Myung-nam wrote on a bandage after carefully tending to her injuries, and with an expressive look that conveys her shaken feelings when she suddenly learns of Myung-nam’s upcoming marriage—without a word of dialogue.
Starring Kim You-jung, Park Jin-young, Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng and Jin Sun-kyu, tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama 〈100 Days of Deception〉 airs Saturdays and Sundays at 9:10 p.m.
