The Netflix movie 〈History of Confession〉 set to be released on August 29 has unveiled exciting stills. In 1998, nineteen-year-old girl Park Se-ri plans a strategy to straighten her lifelong complex of curly hair before her once-in-a-lifetime confession, and gets entangled with transfer student Han Yoon-seok in a youth romance 〈History of Confession〉 that reveals the fresh excitement of Gong Myung and Shin Eun-soo.

The released stills capture the refreshing charm of Gong Myung and Shin Eun-soo, who embody the sparkling youth of 1998. First, Yoon-seok (Gong Myung), who transferred from Seoul to Busan, unexpectedly forms a special bond with Se-ri (Shin Eun-soo) before even attending his new school, and inadvertently joins Se-ri's grand operation to confess her crush, leading to a complicated relationship. As Yoon-seok spends more time with Se-ri and her friends, he begins to open his heart little by little, raising curiosity about what changes will occur in him. In particular, Yoon-seok's smile while looking at someone with a camera during a school trip evokes a thrilling excitement and piques curiosity about where his gaze is directed.
Self-proclaimed and recognized as a crush expert and professional confessor, Se-ri's curly hair inherited from her father is her biggest life concern, and perhaps due to her tangled hair, her crush confessions always go awry. However, she falls for the school's most popular guy, Kim Hyun (Cha Woo-min), at first sight and plans a grand operation to confess her crush with her friends. With her crush radar always on for Kim Hyun, Se-ri hides around the school playground and utility poles, looking at someone with sparkling eyes, showcasing her expertise as a crush expert. As Se-ri prepares for the last once-in-a-lifetime crush confession operation before graduation, interest is heightened as to whether she can break the 0% success rate history and achieve a happy ending.
Gong Myung stated, "Yoon-seok represents the most youthful appearance among the characters I have played so far. I acted while contemplating how to express Yoon-seok, who transferred from Seoul, gradually mingling and blending with friends," revealing the process of his efforts to embody the shining youth. Shin Eun-soo remarked, "This character is the most energetic and bright among the roles I've played. It's the character that resembles me the most when I'm with friends. I think I can show another side of myself by taking on a role that exudes high energy," raising expectations for her bright and refreshing charm. Director Namgoong Sun expressed satisfaction with Gong Myung, stating, "Gong Myung is an incredibly healthy and clear actor. He is a reliable actor on set, but when he plays Yoon-seok, he transforms into a boy with a tender heart. It was amazing how he springs up like a spring no matter how tough it gets." He further praised Shin Eun-soo, saying, "Shin Eun-soo has a talent for expressing emotions with her whole body. Her meticulous preparation and research for each scene were impressive. Se-ri became explosively cute after meeting actress Shin Eun-soo," praising her for completing the bouncy charm of Se-ri.
