The fictional K-Pop girl group HUNTR/X has sung the Netflix animation 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 OST 'Golden' which has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard on August 11 (local time), 'Golden' has become the ninth K-Pop related song to reach the top of the Hot 100 chart, and the first to do so with a female lead vocal. 'Golden' follows BTS member Jungkook's 'Seven', Jimin's 'Like Crazy', and BTS's 'Savage Love', 'Dynamite', 'Life Goes On', 'Butter', and 'Permission To Dance', as well as 'My Universe' with Coldplay to become a K-Pop related song that has reached the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart.

Additionally, Billboard stated that it has been 24 years since a group consisting entirely of three or more women has topped the Hot 100, with the last instance being Destiny’s Child's 'Bootylicious' which held the top spot for two weeks in August 2001.

The Billboard 'Hot 100' ranks songs based on a combination of streaming, radio airplay, and digital and physical sales data in the United States. 'Golden' recorded 31.7 million official streams in the U.S. from August 1-7 (up 9% from the previous week), 8.4 million radio listeners (up 71% from the previous week), and 7,000 sales (up 35% from the previous week).
