Psy to Perform at the 80th Liberation Eve Ceremony... Even Without a Guarantee?

It has been revealed that Psy will perform at the 80th Liberation Eve Ceremony without a guarantee.

This fact was shared by Tak Hyun-min, the event planning advisor to the National Assembly Speaker, during an appearance on a radio broadcast. While discussing the preparations for the event titled ‘The 80th Liberation Eve: Korea Lives!’ Tak shared a story about Psy. Tak said, “I really called Psy for the first time in three years,” and added, “(Psy) is currently on his concert tour, and he usually doesn’t do other events, so I regretted calling him a bit, thinking I might be putting pressure on him.”

So, after hanging up, Tak sent a long text to Psy, conveying the message, ‘You don’t have to do it, so don’t worry too much.’ However, upon receiving the text, Psy immediately called back and told Tak, “If you say that, I can’t not do it,” confirming his participation. He even suggested that he would perform without a guarantee.

‘The 80th Liberation Eve: Korea Lives!’ will take place on August 14 at 8:15 PM at the National Assembly Central Lawn, featuring performances by Kang San-e, Spider, Dynamic Duo, Mad Clown, Maetri, Kim Hyung-seok, 10CM, VIVIZ, Ali, Crying Nut, Paul Kim, and Psy.
