Jo Hyun-cheol, who returns with the Netflix series 〈Aema〉, recently appeared as a guest on 'Kim Poong's Unseen Eyes' released by Netflix Korea. On that day, Jo Hyun-cheol shared behind-the-scenes stories from the hit work that made his name widely known, the Netflix series 〈D.P.〉. Jo Hyun-cheol said, "A few years before filming 〈D.P.〉, I had my fortune read. The fortune said, 'You have to play a rough role to succeed. You will see blood or die.'" He explained the reason he took on the role of Jang Seok-bong. However, he also joked, "Actually, that wasn't the reason I decided to participate, but I was trying to explain it in a fun way, so I squeezed it out."
Meanwhile, in the recently released Netflix series 〈Aema〉, Jo Hyun-cheol plays the rookie director 'Kwak In-woo', who struggles to protect his first directorial work. 〈Aema〉 is a Netflix series that depicts the story of top star 'Hee-ran' (Lee Ha-nee) and rookie actress 'Joo-ae' (Bang Hyo-rin) bravely confronting the dark reality hidden behind the glamorous spotlight during the birth of erotic films that swept Korea in the 1980s.
