
The 21st Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF, chaired by Jang Hang-jun) will hold its opening ceremony at Jecheon Airport on September 4, revealing guests who will heat up the red carpet and festival atmosphere. The opening film 〈Musician〉 will be screened, with actors Lee Jun-hyuk and Jang Do-yeon hosting the ceremony, and representatives from the domestic and international film industry are expected to attend. This year, the festival's ambassador, 'Jimface' Kang Ha-neul, will also be present. The opening ceremony will kick off with Lee Jun-hyuk and Jang Do-yeon as hosts. The meeting of these two, responsible for the start of Asia's only music film festival JIMFF, is expected to enhance both the dignity and fun of the opening ceremony.

This opening ceremony is expected to see a large attendance of prominent figures from the Korean film industry. Jury members for the international competition section include actor and director Yoo Ji-tae and director Kim Cho-hee, along with music directors Kim Dong-wook, Park Beom-soo, and Lee Geon-ho from the official competition section 'Music Insight', as well as directors Kang Yoon-sung, Kim Sung-hoon, Noh Deok, Lee Myung-se, Lee Joon-ik, Lee Ok-seop, Ahn Jae-hoon, Ahn Tae-jin, Lim Sun-ae, Yoon Dan-bi, Jeong Cho-shin, Bong Man-dae, and actors Kim Eui-sung, Kim Min, Ryu Seung-ryong, Park Ji-hwan, Park Jun-seok, Lee Shin-young, Lee Joo-young, Lee Jun-hyuk, Oh Na-ra, Oh Dal-soo, Oh Yeon-a, Jang Young-nam, Jeon Mi-do, Jeon Seok-ho, Jung Jin-woon, Jo Woo-jin, and Ha Young. JIMFF executive committee member writer Kim Eun-hee and organizing committee member producer Jang Won-seok will also attend to add to the excitement of the opening ceremony.
International filmmakers will also grace JIMFF. French composer Eric Serra, known for composing music for films such as 〈The Big Blue〉 (1988), 〈Nikita〉 (1990), 〈Léon〉 (1994), and 〈007 GoldenEye〉 (1995), will visit Korea for the first time. He is the recipient of this year's JIMFF 'Jecheon Film Music Award' and will meet audiences through a special concert and masterclass. Additionally, Indonesian master director Garin Nugroho and Jerome Paillard, who served as the chairman of the Cannes Film Market for 27 years, will attend JIMFF as the jury chair for the film 〈Samsara〉 and the international competition section 'Music Insight', respectively. Actors Beatrice Barison from the international competition section 〈Spot〉, animator Alan Shaw from 〈Rhythm of Flower〉, co-writer and music consultant Kuldeep Bhav, producer Peter Worsley from 〈John and Yoko〉, and director Sander Maran from 〈Chainsaw Man Sings〉 will also attend to enhance the event.
The 21st Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will be held under the slogan 'Together JIMFF' from September 4 to 9 in the Jecheon area. A total of 134 films from 36 countries showcasing the trends of music films worldwide will be screened. Screenings will take place at Jimpsy Cinema (formerly Megabox Jecheon), Haso Cultural Center, Jecheon Cultural Center, and Jecheon Video Media Center, while 'One Summer Night' will be held at Jecheon Airport, and 'JIMFF Special Choice' will take place at Jecheon Arts Center. The camping & music festival, a stay-type complex cultural festival, will be held at Uirimji Solbat Park and Jecheon Airport. The opening ceremony, held on a special dome stage on the open runway of Jecheon Airport, will be broadcast live on Naver.
