Lee Hye-young and Park Se-wan to Appear at 'Bechdel Day 2025' Talk Program

'Bechdel Day 2025' continues the meeting between filmmakers and audiences.

Taking place from September 6 to 7 at KU Cinema Tech, 'Bechdel Day 2025' has prepared various talk programs, including 'Meeting with Bechdelian' to discuss gender equality in content with this year's Bechdelians.

The first day, Saturday, September 6, will start with 'Meeting with Bechdelian'. Bechdelians selected for 'Bechdel Day 2025' will attend the event. From 1 PM, in the film section, Director Im Mi-rang of 〈About My Daughter〉, Producer Lee Anna of 〈Victory〉 〈High Five〉, and Writer Kim Soo-yeon of 〈Minimum Goodness〉 will join Director Jeong Ji-in of 〈Retirement〉 and Producer Shin Hye-mi of 〈Quiet Sales〉 to discuss with Bechdel Day programmer Lee Hwa-jeong.

Then, from 3:30 PM, there will be a screening of the film 〈Breakthrough〉 followed by a special talk with actress Lee Hye-young and director Min Kyu-dong. The two will fill the venue with the theme 'One and Only! Actress Lee Hye-young: Expanding the Boundaries of Female Actors'.

On September 7, starting at 12:30 PM, there will be a screening of the film 〈Victory〉 where Director Park Beom-soo and actress Park Se-wan will discuss with moderator Director Jeong Ga-young and the audience. From 4:30 PM, a special program of Bechdel Day 2025 titled 'The Equality of Competitive Spirit: Awakening the Freedom of the Body, the Desires and Challenges of Oppressed Women' will be held. SBS 〈The Women Who Kick Balls〉's PD Kwon Hyung-gu and actress Lee Young-jin, and Mnet 〈World of Women Street Fighter〉's PD Jeong Kyung-wook will attend as guests. Editor-in-chief Ju Sung-cheol of Cineplay will be the moderator, and Professor Kim Min-jeong of Chung-Ang University’s Department of Creative Writing will join as a panelist.
