Tony Leung Visits Busan International Film Festival After 3 Years

Tony Leung (Liang Chao-wei), a representative actor of Asia, will take the stage at the Busan International Film Festival after 3 years.

The Busan International Film Festival Secretariat announced on the 20th that Tony Leung will visit the festival with Ildikó Enyedi's new film 〈Silent Friend〉 invited to this year's Icon section. This will be his first visit since winning the Asian Film Award at the 2022 Busan International Film Festival.

〈Silent Friend〉 is evaluated as a work that harmonizes Ildikó Enyedi's delicate directing style and Tony Leung's profound acting skills.

Tony Leung will have a conversation with the audience (GV) at the Busan Cinema Center's small theater on the 24th at 3:30 PM. He is also scheduled to conduct a GV at the medium theater of the Busan Cinema Center on the 25th at 7:30 PM.

Additionally, he plans to participate in an open talk at the outdoor stage of the Busan Cinema Center, sharing candid stories about 〈Silent Friend〉 and his acting philosophy with the audience. The specific schedule for the open talk will be announced later on the festival's website.

A Busan International Film Festival official stated, "The visit of Liang Chao-wei (Tony Leung), an icon representing Hong Kong and Asia who has been loved by the public, is expected to further enhance the excitement of the festival venue."
