'No Other Choice' Lee Byung-hun "Venice, Toronto audience reactions? The best among all the movies I've done so far"

〈No Other Choice〉 actor Lee Byung-hun shared his thoughts after attending an overseas film festival.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, a press screening and press conference for the film 〈No Other Choice〉 took place at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. On this day, director Park Chan-wook, along with actors Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yeom Hye-ran, responded to questions from domestic reporters who watched the film during the press conference.

The film 〈No Other Choice〉 was invited to the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and the 50th Toronto International Film Festival before its release in Korea. Actor Lee Byung-hun, who walked the red carpet in Venice and Toronto as the lead actor of 〈No Other Choice〉, explained his feelings at the time, saying, "The reactions from the audiences in Venice and Toronto were the most surprising and passionate I've ever seen. I've walked the red carpet for Hollywood films, but now, after Hallyu has gradually become known, it feels different from back then." He also mentioned, "Director Park Chan-wook is, of course, a director that everyone pays attention to, and the audience cheered for all of us actors, and there were many fans for each of us. I was amazed at how many audience members seemed to have seen all the content we appeared in."

The film 〈No Other Choice〉 tells the story of 'Mansu' (played by Lee Byung-hun), an office worker who felt that he had achieved everything in life, but after being unexpectedly fired, prepares for his own war towards re-employment to protect his wife and two children and to keep the home he worked hard to acquire. Actor Lee Byung-hun, who plays 'Mansu', has collaborated more deeply and intricately with director Park Chan-wook through 〈Joint Security Area〉, 〈Three, Monster〉, and now 〈No Other Choice〉. Lee Byung-hun has completed a face we have never seen before as the job seeker 'Mansu', who struggles alone, with his ability to embody characters without genre limitations.

The film 〈No Other Choice〉 is set to be released on September 24.
