Choi Jae-rim and Park Eun-seok Confirmed to Star in the Play 'The Guards of the Taj Mahal'

Actors Choi Jae-rim and Park Eun-seok have been announced to star in the play 'The Guards of the Taj Mahal', according to the production company.

The production company Heaven Production announced on the 23rd that the cast for the play 'The Guards of the Taj Mahal', which will be performed at the LG Arts Center Seoul U+ Stage from November 12 to January 4 next year, has been confirmed. This work is written by American playwright Rajiv Joseph and premiered in the United States in 2015.

In South Korea, it will meet audiences again after 8 years since its first performance in 2017. The story is set in India in 1648, depicting the conflict that arises as two guards, who are protecting the walls of the Taj Mahal just before it is revealed to the public, carry out the emperor's mission.

Choi Jae-rim, who has starred in musicals such as 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'Chicago', has been cast again as the guard Humayun, who values hierarchy, following his debut in 2017. Kim Dong-won, who appeared in the drama <The Murky Stream> and <Walking On Thin Ice>, will also take on the same role.

Lee Seung-joo, who has appeared in the plays 'The Cherry Orchard' and 'Hamlet', and Park Eun-seok, who starred in the drama <Penthouse> and the play 'Trial', will play the curious guard Babul, who loves stories about inventions. The direction will be handled by Shin Yoo-cheong, who won the Baeksang Theater Award for 'Scorched Love'.
