Hive America, the U.S. subsidiary of Hive, has officially begun shooting a live-action film based on K-Pop in collaboration with Paramount Pictures. Hive America announced on the 25th that they have confirmed the cast and started filming.

The confirmed cast includes Sung-jun, Kang So-ra, Lee Hyung-cheol, Renata Bakha, and Celia Capsis. Earlier this month, it was announced that Yoo Ji-tae, Tori Revelory, and Gia Kim would also be part of the cast.

The lead roles will be played by Yoo Ji-young, who voiced Joy in 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, and singer-actor Eric Nam. The story depicts a Korean-American girl who challenges an audition to become a K-Pop girl group member against her family's opposition.

The film began its first shoot in Seoul on the 21st and will film all scenes domestically. Filming will take place in locations such as Incheon, Gimpo, Paju, and Gapyeong, starting from Seoul.

The direction is led by director Benson Lee, who directed the film 〈Seoul Camp 1986〉. The production team has stated that they aim for a theatrical release in February 2027.
