It is a work that is garnering expectations with an excellent casting lineup in terms of star power and acting skills, including Ire, Geumhaena, Noh Jaewon, and Kim Sewon.
'Tomorrow's Minjae' has already been recognized for the unique power of its story by winning the grand prize at the 2023 Korean Film Council's screenplay competition and being selected for the 2024 Korean Film Council's independent art film production support project and the Incheon Film Commission's regional feature film production support project.
The Tokyo International Film Festival, which will take place from the 27th to November 5th for a total of 10 days, is one of the major film festivals representing Asia along with the Busan International Film Festival, and it has been a competitive film festival that selects films by young directors who build unique genres or present new visions. Among them, the 'Asian Future' section, to which 'Tomorrow's Minjae' has been officially invited, is one of the main sections of the festival that aims to promote the growth of Asian cinema by selecting works by debut directors who have directed fresh and unique feature films of three or fewer. The film 'Miss Baek', which captured both artistic quality and box office success, was officially invited to this section in 2018.
Meanwhile, 'Tomorrow's Minjae' is scheduled to have its first world premiere screening at this Tokyo International Film Festival and will participate in various other film festival schedules, with a domestic release planned for 2026.
