Two Korean film releases have both surpassed significant milestones.

According to the integrated computer network for theater admissions, 〈〉 and 〈〉 have both surpassed 2 million and 1 million viewers, respectively. 〈〉 surpassed 2 million viewers on October 6, while 〈〉 surpassed 1 million viewers on the morning of October 7. Both films were released targeting the Chuseok holiday, achieving these records in 13 days and 5 days after their respective releases.

〉 is a new film by director Park Chan-wook, a black comedy about a man who, after being fired from a paper company, eliminates competitors to secure a position at a new company. It stars Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Park Hee-soon, and has been invited to screen at the Venice International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and others.

〉 is a new film by director Ra Hee-chan, a comedy depicting the 'passing the buck' strategy of the second-in-command who does not want to inherit the boss's position. It features Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, Lee Kyu-hyung, Oh Dal-soo, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, Jung Yu-jin, and Ko Chang-seok.
