Tooniverse, a South Korean animation channel, will officially air the popular comic's official spin-off animation 〈Dad Nohara Hiroshi's Lunch〉 (original title: 野原ひろし 昼メシの流儀) at 10 PM on October 17. 〈Dad Nohara Hiroshi's Lunch〉 features the character Dad Nohara Hiroshi, who has been loved for his cheerful and human charm in the original comic, and presents a daily drama that combines serious reflections on the 'lunch' of an ordinary middle-aged office worker with humor. Starting from October 17, it will air every Friday at 10 PM.
〈Dad Nohara Hiroshi's Lunch〉 breaks away from the existing family-centered narrative and delicately depicts the joys and sorrows of office life and small happinesses. Each episode calmly unfolds Hiroshi's concerns during lunchtime, menu choices, and the subtle emotions involved in meals, as well as the workplace relationships surrounding him, successfully drawing empathy from busy professionals. In particular, the original comic received praise for showing a new meaning of 'father' in ordinary life through food obsession and moments that remind one of family during food explorations. This project was officially decided to air on Tooniverse after consistent requests from the fandom. It will be broadcast with subtitles and will also be released simultaneously in Japan.
