「JoJo's Bizarre Adventure」 series' part 7 「Steel Ball Run」 meets fans through Netflix.
Netflix released the teaser trailer for 〈Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure〉 on its official YouTube channel on October 13. The work depicts the story of characters participating in a fictional horseback racing competition called the 'Steel Ball Run Race' that crosses the North American continent. This trailer features Johnny Joestar, who left the horse racing world due to paralysis, meeting Gyro Zeppeli and participating in the 'Steel Ball Run Race'.
Although it has been a popular part since the original series and has garnered much anticipation, Korean fans showed somewhat disappointing reactions after the teaser trailer was released. The translation of the official video was not satisfactory compared to the quality of the work itself. Especially since it is a new animation of 「JoJo's Bizarre Adventure」, which has many enthusiastic fans, it has been criticized for mistranslations and translations that completely changed the nuances of existing famous lines. Some fans pointed out that there are often differences between the trailer and the main content's translations, suggesting that the main content may differ.
〈Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure〉 will be released for the first time on Netflix in 2026. The directing duo of Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi, who directed the animation 〈JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind〉 of part 5 「Golden Wind」, will once again take the helm.
