The girl group MEOVV announced that they will release their new digital single 'Burning Up' at 6 PM on the 14th, according to their agency The Black Label.

This new song is a work that is being presented about five months after the first mini-album 'My Eyes Open Wide' was released in May. In particular, members Gawon and Narin participated in writing the lyrics.

Member Narin expressed about the new song, "In one word, it is 'explosion'. It feels like all the passion and emotions burst out at once, and it is as hot and intense as that." He added, "From the first time I heard it, I thought 'Burning Up' was a completely new feeling that is not at all similar to the songs so far."

Narin also stated, "Through 'Burning Up', which we prepared while talking, crying, and laughing together as five, I want to convey our sincerity to the fans and the public."

Member Gawon described, "'Burning Up' is the embodiment of burning energy." He said, "The songs included in the first mini-album were all heard for the first time when I was a trainee, but this song was the first I encountered after debuting. Listening to it while already walking the path as MEOVV, I felt much stronger certainty about this song."

Narin, who participated in writing the lyrics, said, "This time, I wanted to show a rougher and freer MEOVV." He explained, "While we had focused on showing the highest quality performances and stages, through 'Burning Up', I want to express the passion we truly feel rather than a perfectly polished appearance."
