On the 16th, Hive Media Corp announced that actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho will star in the movie 〈Assassins〉, which is based on the assassination incident on August 15, 1974.

This work deals with the assassination incident that occurred during the Liberation Day ceremony held at the National Theater on August 15, 1974. At that time, Moon Se-gwang, a second-generation Korean resident in Japan, fired a pistol at President Park Chung-hee, but First Lady Yuk Young-soo was hit by the bullet and died.

In this work, Yoo Hae-jin plays the role of a police inspector who witnessed the incident. Park Hae-il plays the role of a newspaper's social department head who tracks down the questions that arise during the investigation. Lee Min-ho plays the role of a rookie reporter in the social department who directly witnessed the incident.

The direction is handled by Heo Jin-ho, who produced 〈Christmas in August〉, 〈One Fine Spring Day〉, and 〈A Normal Family〉. The film began shooting last August.
