Actors Im Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun meet in a unique romance drama that transcends time and space.

On the 16th, SBS announced that the new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Brave New World〉 starring Im Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun will premiere next year. This work is set in South Korea in 2026 and tells the story of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era who possesses the body of a modern-day unknown actress.

The drama centers around the romance between the notorious villainess of Joseon and a malicious chaebol heir. The term 'hate relationship' refers to a romance that begins from a hostile relationship.

Im Ji-yeon takes on a dual role. She plays the role of the 'woman who shakes the nation,' the villainess Kang Dan-sim who was sentenced to death in Joseon, and the modern-day unknown actress Shin Seo-ri whose soul is possessed by her. Heo Nam-jun plays Cha Si-gye, the sole heir of the prominent Chail Group, who is branded as a tyrannical chaebol.

The production team is led by PD Han Tae-seob, who directed the drama 〈Cheer Up〉, and the script is written by Kang Hyun-joo, who penned the film 〈Soulmate〉.
