
The global hit creator of 'Look Back' and 'Chainsaw Man', Fujimoto Tatsuki, is finally set to meet audiences on screen, showcasing the beginning of his universe and the source of his overwhelming talent. The short manga collection 〈Fujimoto Tatsuki 17-26〉 that he created from the age of 17 to 26 will have an exclusive advance screening at Megabox for two weeks starting October 24, along with the launch poster.
This project features seven next-generation directors, including Tetsuaki Watanabe, who directed the TV anime 〈Blue Lock〉, and Nobuyuki Takeuchi, director of the film 〈Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?〉. Six prestigious production companies, including ZEXCS, LAPIN TRACK, GRAPH77, 100 STUDIO, STUDIO KAFKA, and P.A.WORKS, have joined forces to ensure quality and artistic value. Additionally, a star-studded voice cast, including Kana Hanazawa, Junichi Suwabe, and Tomokazu Sugita, who have many fans from popular anime series such as 〈Demon Slayer〉, 〈Jujutsu Kaisen〉, and 〈Tokyo Revengers〉, will bring the characters to life. With eight different genres ranging from romance to horror, sci-fi, mystery, and black comedy, it promises to offer audiences the fun of discovering their tastes.
This 〈Fujimoto Tatsuki 17-26〉 is divided into two parts, featuring four works each in Part 1: 〈In the Backyard, There Were Two Chickens〉, 〈Sasaki Blocked the Bullet〉, 〈Love is Blind〉, 〈Shikaku〉, and Part 2: 〈Mermaid Rhapsody〉, 〈The Illness of Waking Up as a Girl〉, 〈Nayuta of Prophecy〉, 〈Sister's Older Sister〉.
In particular, Part 2's 〈Nayuta of Prophecy〉 is a work that inspired the character 'Nayuta', who plays an important role in Part 2 of 'Chainsaw Man', allowing viewers to confirm the origins of Fujimoto Tatsuki's universe. Another short, 〈Sister's Older Sister〉, reveals the emotional line and reflections on art that will later lead to 'Look Back', showcasing how the author's sensibility and perspective have evolved.
