EJAE from 'You Quiz' Reveals, "I Lived as an SM Trainee for 12 Years Since I Was 11... Yuri from Girls' Generation Said 'You Will Definitely Succeed'"

EJAE revealed behind-the-scenes stories from his time as an SM Entertainment trainee.

On the broadcast of tvN 〈You Quiz on the Block〉 aired on the 22nd, EJAE, the composer and singer of the globally popular OST 'Golden' from 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, appeared. On that day, EJAE shared everything from the behind-the-scenes of composing 'Golden' to his live experience of 'Golden' on 〈The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon〉, and anecdotes from his time as an SM Entertainment trainee.

EJAE stated that he started his trainee life at the age of 11 and wrapped it up when he turned 23 in 2015. He recalled that he worked "really hard" by being the first to arrive at 7 AM to turn on the lights and the last to leave at 11 PM. EJAE mentioned that he practiced alongside Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, and particularly shared a story about Yuri from Girls' Generation. Yuri, seeing EJAE practice hard, said, "You really seem like you will become something. You work so hard. You will definitely succeed."

Meanwhile, 'Golden', composed and sung by EJAE, is causing a global sensation by topping the Billboard 'Hot 100' for 8 consecutive weeks. EJAE is the vocalist for the character 'Lumi' in the fictional girl group 'HUNTR/X' from 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, and is a solo artist and composer who is a former SM Entertainment trainee.
